Customer Review: Amazing for the price!
I really like fish-eye photography. It may be a bit silly, but its just incredibly useful sometimes. For this reason I could not justify paying over 600 bucks for a good fish-eye lens, so I gave this adapter a try. It is made pretty darn well. The glass is actually pretty nice too, with a bit of fringing but overall great for the cheap price. I would surely recommend this if you want to have some fun. However, I was very disappointed in the design of the lens cap. Basically the glass comes RIGHT up to the edge, and it comes with a cheap thin plastic cap that unfortunately has some beveled out numbers on the inside. Thats probably the STUPIDEST thing they did in making this product. I woudl probably respect it more if it didnt come with a lens cap. After using my cap for like 3 days I noticed that the beveled numbers were starting to hurt the glass. I had to glue in a nice soft material so it works better. Still, amazing fun lens adapter for the low cost! I use it all the time!
Customer Review: Love it!
This adapter was affordable, and that was most important to me. It -is- very, very macro. I have literally touched objects with it without realizing how close I was. The fisheye has produced great photographs, but again, macro macro macro! For the price, you can't get any better. It's very substantial, I think it's actually heavier than the lens currently on my Nikon (and that lens was $$!). I have a few scratches on it already, sadly, but it's still working like a champ. I couldn't ask for more.
